Anthony Miller

Master of Laws (Applied Law) Majoring in Wills and Estates

Principal Lawyer | Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP)

Anthony Miller is the Principal Lawyer of Miller Sockhill Lawyers and holds a Master of Laws majoring in Wills & Estates. He is also a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) through the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), an internationally recognised designation awarded to professionals with expertise in trust, estates and succession planning. With over 20 years’ experience in the legal industry, Anthony has worked for firms in London, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, and is admitted to both the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.

Anthony advises clients across a broad range of legal matters, including estate planning, trusts, estate administration and disputes, business succession, commercial litigation, and sports law. His approach focuses on identifying commercial solutions, managing risk and achieving positive outcomes while building long-term relationships with his clients. 

An active member of the Sunshine Coast Community, Anthony was a founding committee member and Treasurer of the 4556 Chamber of Commerce and serves on the AFL Queensland Tribunal. Anthony has an association with a number of sporting clubs on the Sunshine Coast having been a long-time active member of both the Mooloolaba and Dicky Beach Surf Life Saving Clubs and also serving on the board at Dicky Beach SLSC. In his spare time Anthony enjoys spending time with his wife and children enjoying an outdoors and active lifestyle, or otherwise watching his beloved Essendon Bombers lose games of football.

As Principal of Miller Sockhill Lawyers, Anthony is committed to delivering legal advice with professionalism and a client-focused approach. He takes pride in leading a team that provides clear, practical advice and works collaboratively with clients to achieve the best possible outcomes in both personal and commercial matters.

Rachel Clutterbuck

Master of Laws (Applied Law) Majoring in Business Law & Transactions and Property Law

Senior Associate | Head of Property

Rachel Clutterbuck is a Senior Associate at Miller Sockhill Lawyers and is admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Since joining Miller Sockhill Lawyers in 2016, Rachel has gained experience across a wide range of areas of law including property law, litigation, personal injuries, commercial law, migration, employment law, and wills and estates. 

Rachel completed her Masters in 2021, winning Best Graduating Masters Student majoring in Business Law and a Certificate of High Achievement for Academic Excellence. She now focuses her practice on property and business transactions, land titling matters, trust matters, body corporate law, financing and securities, corporate structuring, leasing, and property developments. Rachel enjoys working closely with clients to understand their goals and provide practical, commercially focused legal solutions tailored to their individual circumstances. 

A Sunshine Coast local, Rachel’s family has called the region home since 1874, giving her a strong connection to the local community. Alongside her professional work, she has volunteered with the Suncoast Community Legal Service since 2018. Rachel has also volunteered with the St Vincent de Paul Society and is passionate about supporting the next generation of legal professionals by facilitating work experience placements for local students interested in pursuing a career in law. 

Rachel enjoys spending time gardening with the assistance of her cat and dog, swimming at the beach, and learning new languages. A lifelong music enthusiast, Rachel previously studied at the Conservatorium and performed with local orchestras before finding her love of law. She is an avid reader and enjoys catching up with friends over a glass of wine and board games in her downtime.

Virginnia Yow

Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice

Associate

Virginnia Yow is an Associate at Miller Sockhill Lawyers. She was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2015 and brings a diverse and well-rounded background to her legal practice. In addition to a Bachelor of Laws, Virginnia has an Arts degree majoring in Political and International Studies and a Certificate II in Animal Studies.

Virginnia was born in Tasmania, and her surname stems from Chinese heritage traced back to the Ballarat goldfields in 1880’s Victoria. Before and alongside her legal career, Virginnia worked as a youth worker and ran her own small business, experiences that underpin her practical, client-focused approach and strong understanding of the real-world challenges faced by individuals and families. She has also practised across Criminal Law and Family Law, has managed a court advocacy service, and has experience working within domestic violence support services.

Since joining Miller Sockhill Lawyers in March 2022, Virginnia has practised primarily in Estate Planning, Family Law and Employment Law, and she is known for her calm advocacy, practical advice, and commitment to achieving sensible outcomes for her clients.

Virginnia is a passionate supporter of the Brisbane Broncos and enjoys cheering on her team whenever she gets the chance. She also appreciates a good beer and spending quality time with her beloved cat, Titten. Whether relaxing with friends, reading a good novel, or enjoying a quiet moment at home, Virginnia bring the same warmth, loyalty and personality to life outside of work as she does to her legal practice. Her genuine care for others makes her a valued member of the Miller Sockhill Lawyers team.

Gillian Heine

Practice Manager | JP (Qual)

Gillian Heine is the Practice Manager at Miller Sockhill Lawyers. Since joining the firm in 2017 as Conveyancing Manager, Gillian’s extensive legal industry experience, meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills have seen her move into her current role, where she oversees the firm’s administrative and operational functions and helps ensure the firm continues to operate efficiently and effectively.

With more than 20 years of experience in the legal industry, Gillian has developed a strong understanding of both complex legal matters and the day-to-day operations of a busy law firm. She works closely with the firm’s lawyers and support staff, and her practical approach and strong leadership underpins the delivery of high-quality legal services. Gillian is dedicated to fostering a professional, collaborative, and client-focused environment, so that both clients and staff receive the support they need.

Outside of the office, Gillian enjoys spending quality time with her young family and making the most of everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer.

Kiah Mietzel

Conveyancing Manager | Commissioner for declarations

Kiah Mietzel is the Conveyancing Manager at Miller Sockhill Lawyers. Kiah has been with the firm since 2020 and plays an important role in supporting clients through property transactions, bringing care and professionalism to the conveyancing process to help make buying or selling residential property as smooth and stress-free as possible. Kiah works closely with the firm’s Property Law team to manage the practical elements of settlements and documentation, ensuring clear communication and attention to detail at every stage of the transaction.

Outside of work, Kiah enjoys the simple pleasures in life – good coffee, white wine, brunch with friends, a challenging pilates class, and spending time at the beach. She is also a keen traveller and enjoys exploring new places and experiencing different cultures, with Russia being her next goal destination. 

Kiah’s friendly and approachable nature, combined with her commitment to delivering excellent client service, makes her a valued member of the Miller Sockhill Lawyers team.

Eleanor Earney

Paralegal

Eleanor Earney is a paralegal working with the Property and Commercial Team at Miller Sockhill Lawyers, where she is known for her attention to detail, calm approach, and ability to keep matters running smoothly behind the scenes. Having joined Miller Sockhill Lawyers in 2019, Eleanor provides reliable support across a range of files while ensuring clients receive professional and timely assistance throughout their legal journey.

With a highly organised mindset and a practical, solutions-focused approach, Eleanor is always willing to lend a hand to colleagues and contributes to the collaborative and supportive culture of the firm. Her reliability, positive attitude and steady presence make her a valued member of the team. 

Away from the office, Eleanor enjoys spending quality time with her young family. She loves keeping up with the latest reality television shows, supporting her favourite music artist and, while it has not been officially confirmed, there are strong suspicions that Eleanor may have developed a slight addiction to full fat Coke. Her warmth, humour and attention to those around her make her a wonderful addition to Miller Sockhill Lawyers.

Sheila Dixon

Paralegal

Sheila Dixon has been a dedicated paralegal at Miller Sockhill Lawyers since 2019. Sheila plays an integral support role within the Wills and Estates team, assisting clients across a range of matters. Clients frequently note her professionalism, diligence, and commitment to facilitating smooth outcomes – particularly in sensitive areas such as probate and deceased estate administration. Her attention to detail and client-focused approach help ensure that files are meticulously prepared and that clients feel supported throughout their legal journey.

In her free time, Sheila enjoys travelling, unwinding with long walks, indulging in her favourite XL cheese crisps, and spending Friday afternoons with a prosecco in hand. Sheila’s warm personality, positive outlook and can-do attitude make her highly valued by both the Miller Sockhill Lawyers team and the clients she works with.

Katie-Jane Vosloo

Paralegal

Katie-Jane Vosloo is in her final year of studying Law at QUT and brings valuable practical experience from her previous roles with family law and personal injury firms. As a member of the Miller Sockhill Lawyers team, Katie currently supports the firm’s Wills & Estates, Family Law and Litigation teams, assisting with a broad range of matters while continuing to develop her legal knowledge and practical skills.

Katie has a particular interest in criminal law, domestic and family violence matters and advocacy, and is passionate about developing the skills required to effectively support and represent clients. She is also enthusiastic about emerging technology and enjoys exploring how technological advances can enhance the delivery of legal services and improve client outcomes.

Known for her persistence, reliability and thoughtful approach, Katie is committed to continuous learning and approaches every matter with professionalism, care and determination. Outside of work and study, she enjoys learning about history, watching true crime documentaries, and spending time with her cat, Cat Cobain and dog, Buddy. Katie is a keen Springboks fan and makes sure never to miss a game as they continue their winning streak.

Jane Little

LEGAL RECEPTIONIST | COMMISSIONER FOR DECLARATIONS

Jane Little has been the welcoming first point of contact at Miller Sockhill Lawyers since 2017, providing professional and friendly assistance to clients both in person and over the phone. With extensive experience working in legal practices, Jane brings a wealth of knowledge, professionalism and a calm, organised approach to her role as Legal Receptionist. 

Jane plays a key role in supporting the team and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office. Jane is highly organised, approachable, and committed to delivering excellent client service, helping to create a positive experience for everyone who interacts with the firm. Jane’s kindness and ability to anticipate the needs of clients and colleagues alike makes her a valued member of the Miller Sockhill Lawyers team.

Madison Howard

Legal Administration Assistant

Madison Howard is a Legal Administration Assistant at Miller Sockhill Lawyers and is dedicated to providing friendly, efficient support to both our clients and legal team. As one of the first points of contact for many clients, Madison takes pride in creating a welcoming experience while ensuring enquiries are handled promptly and professionally.

Working closely with the firm’s solicitors and support staff, Madison assists with file management, client communication, and the day-to-day administration that keeps matters progressing smoothly. Her organised approach and commitment to excellent client service make her a valued member of the Miller Sockhill Lawyers team.

Madison understands that engaging a lawyer can often be a significant and sometimes stressful experience.
